Carin Wilson

CarinCarin Wilson (Māori) is one of our country’s most forward thinking Māori creative’s, a director of Studio Pasifika and former president of the Designers Institute of New Zealand. Of Ngati Awa and Ngati Rongomai descent, Carin is passionate about Māori development and the development of our nation’s identity.  He has experience in taking New Zealand design to the world, including his furniture. A strategic thinker, he has a broad knowledge base and an incisive mind adept at tackling complex multi-disciplinary projects. His works have been recognised with numerous grants and awards, including QEII Arts Council and Arts Council of NZ awards and the inaugural ToiIho mark.
