Helmut Luchenhausen (Australia) recently returned to Melbourne to a new appointment as PVC Internationalisation after completing six years as Pro Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive of Swinburne University of Technology, Sarawak. His international track record includes setting up transnational education programs in Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore, as well as presenting on educational policy in the creative industries at educational institutions throughout the world. He has conducted professional practice and product development workshops for creative practitioners throughout Australia and in Germany, Cambodia and Laos. He is a leading exponent in the field of studio furniture, having his work exhibited throughout the world. He is represented in the permanent collections of the Australian National Gallery as well as public galleries and museums in six states and territories across Australia as well as Berlin, Germany. Prof. Lueckenhausen was awarded the title of ‘Darjah Utama Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Kenyalang Sarawak Johan Bintang Kenyalang (JBK (H)), by the Governor of Sarawak in 2010.
