Melbourne, Australia – During 2009 State of Design, INDIGO presented a free public forum for indigenous designers, curators, and cultural leaders to discuss the significant role that indigenous language, iconography and design knowledge could play within the contemporary design industry. Speakers included Allison Page, Merrima Design Unit (Sydney), Adrian Welke, Troppo (Perth) and Lee Darroch, Gurranyin Arts (Gippsland). David Lancashire moderated the session.
